ORILLIA, ON – The Mclean & Dickey Insurance Orillia Terriers Jr. C Hockey Club had a November to remember, showcasing their dominance with an impressive 6-1-0-0 record. The team lit up the scoreboard, outscoring their opponents 43-25, and displayed their grit and determination in every matchup.
NOV 2 | VS INNISFIL
The Orillia Terriers came out firing on all cylinders, securing an early lead and holding on for a thrilling 6-4 victory over the Innisfil Ironmen. Lleyton McLean wasted no time, scoring 13 seconds into the game with assists from Dylan Palomaki and Jordan Fuller. The Terriers piled on three more goals in the first period, courtesy of Palomaki, Brenner Boddy, and Marcus Petroff, building a commanding 4-0 advantage.
McLean struck again in the second period, notching his second goal with help from Palomaki and Fuller, extending the lead to 5-0.
In the third period, the Spartans found their rhythm, led by Ethan Hazlewood, who tallied back-to-back goals to cut into Orillia’s lead. Will Stratos add another for Innisfil, bringing them within one, However, Dylan Palomaki sealed the win for the Terriers with his second goal of the night at 18:07, capping off a four-point performance for both him and linemate Jordan Fuller. Despite a late goal by Jacob Jackson for the Spartans, the Terriers held firm to secure the victory.
NOV 7 | VS STAYNER
The Orillia Terriers delivered a dominant performance against the Stayner Siskins, skating to a convincing 4-1 win. Dylan Palomaki opened the scoring midway through the first period with a well-placed shot assisted by Lleyton McLean and Jordan Fuller. Minutes later, Cole Tucker capitalized on a crisp setup from Fuller and Palomaki, earning his first PJHL Goal up 2-0.
The second period saw the offense continue to shine. Jordan Fuller extended the lead with a snipe off assists from Palomaki and McLean, giving each player multiple points on the night. Just 21 seconds later, Caden Carroll buried his second goal of the season, assisted by Finn Price, to push the lead to 4-0.
The Siskins managed to break through late in the third period when Gunner Kirk found the back of the net with help from Bryden Shank and Noah Prokopec. However, the Terriers’ defense and goaltending remained solid to earn the 4-1 victory.
NOV 9 | VS INNISFIL
The Orillia Terriers continued their impressive form with a solid 4-1 win over the Innisfil Spartans, driven by a strong special teams performance and key contributions from their top players.
Colton Dumond opened the scoring in the first period on the power play at 11:05, converting a feed from Dylan Palomaki and Jordan Fuller. Late in the frame, Josh Presley doubled the lead, finishing a slick setup from Palomaki and Fuller to send the Terriers into the intermission up 2-0.
After a scoreless second period highlighted by tight defense and sharp goaltending, the Ironmen found the back of the net early in the third. Kevin Buset capitalized on a power play opportunity, cutting the lead to 2-1 with help from Garin Fenik and Will Stratos. However, Orillia quickly responded as Palomaki buried his 20th season goal at 7:36, assisted by Fuller and Presley.
Tyler Kelly sealed the victory for the Terriers at 16:19, firing home a shot after another assist from Fuller, who finished the game with four helpers.
NOV 10 | VS PENETANG
The Orillia Terriers delivered a thrilling come-from-behind victory, overcoming a four-goal deficit to defeat the Penetang Kings 5-4 in overtime. A clutch first career goal by Evan Feltis at 1:04 of the extra frame completed the dramatic turnaround, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
Penetang controlled the early stages, with Tanner Thayer opening the scoring late in the first period. The Penguins extended their lead in the second with goals from Cole Rumbolt, Thayer again on the power play, and Riley Thayer, taking what seemed to be a commanding 4-0 advantage. However, the Terriers found life late in the frame when Finn Price broke through at 18:19, assisted by Josh Presley and Caden Carroll.
Orillia carried that momentum into the third period, with Price striking again at 11:43 to bring the Terriers within two. The comeback gathered steam as Dylan Palomaki capitalized on a power play at 18:57, assisted by Presley and Evan Gliddon. Just 25 seconds later, Jordan Fuller tied the game with a perfectly placed shot, forcing overtime.
In the extra session, the Terriers wasted no time. At 1:04, Feltis found the back of the net, finishing a setup from Carroll and Price to complete the incredible comeback.
NOV 22 | VS MIDLAND
The Orillia Terriers unleashed a scoring barrage in a commanding 13-2 victory over the Midland Flyers, with standout performances across the lineup highlighting their offensive depth and firepower.
The Terriers set the tone early, netting six goals in a dominant first period. Finn Price opened the scoring at 6:23, followed by quick strikes from Tyler Kelly, Jordan Fuller (twice), Dante Cugliari, and Caden Carroll, giving Orillia a commanding 6-0 lead by the intermission.
The second period saw more of the same as Colton Dumond extended the lead just over a minute in. While Midland’s Noah Racine managed to get the Flyers on the board at 5:27, the Terriers responded swiftly with goals from Aiden Randell, Fuller—completing his hat trick—and Carroll. Marcus Petroff and Devin Shoreman traded goals late in the frame, leaving the score at 11-2 heading into the third.
Orillia’s relentless attack continued in the final frame. Price tallied his second goal of the night at 14:48, and Liam Norman closed out the scoring with his first of the season at 19:45, capping a night where nearly every Terriers player contributed.
Jordan Fuller led the way with a hat trick and an assist, while Caden Carroll (2G, 2A), Finn Price (2G, 2A), and Colton Dumond (1G, 3A) also turned in stellar performances.
NOV 23 | VS HUNTSVILLE
The Orillia Terriers showcased their offensive depth and special teams prowess in an exhilarating 10-7 victory over the Huntsville Otters. A relentless back-and-forth battle saw both teams trading goals, but Orillia’s firepower and discipline on the power play ultimately sealed the win.
The Otters struck first at 9:09 of the opening period through Brechin Johnston, but the Terriers quickly responded with a goal from Liam Norman at 10:17. Huntsville regained the lead with a power-play goal by Tysen Robb and extended it to 3-1 on Jack MacInally’s late tally.
The Terriers came out firing in the second period. Caden Carroll cut the deficit early, followed by goals from Lleyton McLean and Jordan Fuller, the latter on the power play, giving Orillia a 4-3 lead. While Johnston tied it up again for Huntsville with another power-play marker, the Terriers’ special teams took over. Dylan Palomaki, Evan Feltis, and McLean all scored on the man advantage, restoring Orillia’s control despite a late Huntsville goal by Nicholas Cooper.
The final frame saw no shortage of action. Palomaki and McLean each scored early, with McLean completing his hat trick on a brilliant individual effort to close the game. Huntsville’s Jayden Oke tried to keep his team alive with two third-period goals, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Terriers’ offensive onslaught.
McLean led the charge with a staggering four-goal, three-assist performance, while Palomaki (2G, 4A) and Fuller (1G, 5A) were pivotal in the victory. The Terriers’ power play proved decisive, going 4-for-6 on the night, highlighting their efficiency in critical moments.
NOV 29 | VS ALLISTON
The Orillia Terriers faced a formidable opponent in the Alliston Hornets, suffering a 5-1 defeat in a game where the Hornets offensive precision and strong defensive play proved too much to overcome.
Alliston set the tone early, with Aaron McGuirk opening the scoring at 4:30 of the first period. Duncan Grube doubled the lead midway through the frame, giving the Ice a 2-0 advantage heading into intermission.
In the second period, Alliston continued to dictate play. Ben Smith extended the lead to 3-0 at 7:38, and Jax Bellwood added another at 14:36 off a well-executed passing play. The Terriers struggled to generate sustained offensive pressure against Alliston’s disciplined defensive structure.
The third period saw Alliston’s Nick Lamont stretch the lead to 5-0 at 11:17. Orillia broke through shortly after when Dylan Palomaki scored on the power play at 12:53, assisted by Evan Feltis and Lleyton McLean. Despite a stronger push from the Terriers in the final minutes, they were unable to close the gap further.
TRIPLE THREAT LINE CONTINUES TO TEAR IT UP
The Orillia Terriers’ “Triple Threat” line of Jordan Fuller, Lleyton McLean, and Dylan Palomaki was nothing short of unstoppable in November, combining for a jaw-dropping 58 points over seven games.
Palomaki led the way with 8 goals and 13 assists, using his relentless drive and finishing ability to spark the offense. Fuller matched Palomaki’s production with 6 goals and an astounding 15 assists, showcasing his playmaking prowess and hockey IQ. Meanwhile, McLean added a balanced contribution of 6 goals and 10 assists.
The trio’s chemistry, creativity, and dominance made them a nightmare for opposing defenses and were instrumental in Orillia’s stellar 6-1-0-0 record for the month.
LOOKING AHEAD TO DECEMBER
The Orillia Terriers face a busy December schedule with six key matchups, including three home games at the West Orillia Sports Complex. Here’s how the month shapes up
Thursday, Dec. 5: The Terriers travel to Stayner Memorial Arena for an 8:00 PM matchup against the Stayner Siskins, looking to start the month strong on the road.
Saturday, Dec. 7: Orillia returns home to host the Innisfil Spartans at 7:30 PM, aiming to defend their home ice in front of the local crowd.
Friday, Dec. 13: The Terriers hit the road again to face the Huntsville Otters at the Canada Summit Centre in a 7:30 PM showdown.
Saturday, Dec. 14: Orillia welcomes the Midland Flyers to the West Orillia Sports Complex for another 7:30 PM game, seeking to keep their home streak alive.
Saturday, Dec. 21: The Muskoka Bears visit Orillia for a Saturday night contest, set to begin at 7:30 PM.
Sunday, Dec. 22: The Terriers cap off their December schedule with a second home game against the Huntsville Otters at 7:30 PM, closing the year with back-to-back action.
